Shane Stroud
Attorney
Shane Stroud began his practice at Kipp & Christian, P.C. where he represented clients in tort, contract, construction defect, medical and legal malpractice, and real property actions in both state and federal court. In 2017, he joined the Litigation Division of Utah Attorney General’s Office, representing the State of Utah and its departments and divisions in tort and civil rights claims.
In 2020 Shane joined the Natural Resources Division of the Utah Attorney General’s Office. In addition to representing the Division of State Parks and the Division of Outdoor Recreation, he assisted the Division of Water Rights with its enforcement program where he represented the Division in administrative and court actions to enforce water rights laws. Directly before joining Mabey Wright & James, Shane served as the director of the Utah Natural Resources Division, overseeing a group of approximately 30 attorneys and staff practicing across multiple areas of natural resources and agricultural law.
Shane graduated from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law with High Honors in 2014. Before law school he received a B.A. in English and B.S. in Environmental Studies, also from the University of Utah.
